According to the latest reports, Apple has launched their new models of iPod Family in India, these includes iPod Touch 2G and iPod Nano 4G. The new iPods are the revamped version of the previous iPod Touch and iPod Nano. iPod Touch 2nd generation has some new features like a new metallic curve design like the iPhone, hardware volume control button on the side and the most important feature that we’re missing till date, the integrated speaker. All these features apart from 802.11 b/g support, Genius playlist, exceptionally cool GUI and Apple brand makes it a great buy.

HP has revealed the Compaq dc7800 which is claimed to be the world’s first desktop PC incorporating a Solid State hard drive (SSD), it has ultra slim form factor, SSD allows for durability and superior performance in the form of near-instant access to data and elimination of moving parts which typically cause a lot of wear and tear. The other advantages includes improved power efficiency,faster boot times, shock improvement, and a smaller overall footprint. According to HP, dc7800 is the smallest business-ready desktop being around 46 percent smaller than its predecessors, at the same time providing 85 percent power efficiency. Microsoft has acquired U-Prove technology in an undisclosed price, the recent aquisition will help Micrsoft in strengthening its online security it provides to its users with plans to integrate U-Prove into Windows Communication Foundation and CardSpace.
Stefan Brands will now join Microsoft’s Identity and Access Group along with his colleagues from Credentica, Greg Thompson and Christian Paquin. Brands says that he has rejected many buyout offers and venture capital investment opportunities as he thought the technology’s business model wasn’t strong enough. But now, the demand for technology has grown considerably and Microsoft, through its influence in the Internet, can influence both the client and the server sides of applications.
